Part 5A Obedience - Prelude - The Purpose of the Spring Feasts

     “And offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving with leaven, and proclaim and publish the free offerings: for this liketh you, O ye children of Israel, saith the Lord GOD." Amos 4:5

This video looks briefly at our Abba Yah’s purpose for the giving of the 4 spring Feasts, namely Passover, The Feast of Unleavened Bread, Firstfruits & Shavuot, or the Day of Pentecost, and the 3-fold effect of their prophetic nature, as not only were they fulfilled in Christ, but also point to a future recurrence of these events in the end of days, including a mighty outpouring of God’s spirit, as Exod 20:24 foretells.  Encoded in the observance of these Feasts are specific instructions given to Israel to both align her for heaven, and also assist her in her preparation for these events, and Christ’s return.  However, in Amos 4:5 Yahuah gives Israel a stern warning, reminding her that on the basis of her track record, she needs to be more sober, and diligent to ensure she performs the true ‘spirit’ or intent of her service to God, as opposed to just going through the motions of the ritual, by ‘examining herself, to remove sin (leaven) from her life, and be sure to obey the whole counsel of God, and not just the ‘free(will) offerings’, or aspects that she likes. Repentance, and the need for Israel to diligently return and seek their God are the underlying themes of all of the Feasts.
