This film “Orange Mound A Black Lecture Critical Race Theory” was written, produced, directed, edited and narrated by Anthony “Amp” Elmore. Elmore is best known in Memphis, Tennessee as the five time World Karate Kickboxing Champion. Unknown in Memphis is the fact that Anthony “Amp” Elmore is Memphis 1st 35mm theatrical Filmmaker.

In 1988 Elmore premiered his film “The Contemporary Gladiator.” Unknown at the time to Elmore that he produced not only Memphis 1st Independent Feature film Elmore’s film is the 1st Kickboxing movie produced in America. In 1988 Elmore screened his movie with Mr. Steve Lightman owner of the over 100 year old Malco theatres in Memphis. Elmore made Memphis history in that 24 years earlier Elmore could not walk into the front door of the Malco Theatre because of “Jim Crow Laws and Legal Segregation in America. Elmore film was the 1st Memphis Independent produced film in Memphis.

Elmore who is a community activist in Memphis used his film to fight Memphis White Supremacy, Racism and Black on Black Racism. Elmore who has lived in the historic African/American Community of Orange Mound for 50 years used his filmmaking skills to fight Memphis White Supremacy, Racism and Black on Black Racism.

The film explains how “Orange Mound” is denied the resources and support of becoming one of America’s top African/American Tourist destinations. Elmore’s film titled “Orange Mound A Black Lecture Critical Race Theory.” Elmore’s film is the first Archaeological, Anthropological, Sociological, Historical Cultural Anthology that tells the story of “Orange Mound.” Orange Mound was named a preserve American community in 2016 by first Lady Michelle Obama.
